Why Sellers Need to Prioritise Outdoor Space
April 4th, 2022
With Spring around the corner and warmer weather hopefully on its way to Calne, searches for gardens jumped 70% in January compared to January two years ago, as more people look for outdoor space heading into spring. While 63% of buyers stated a bigger garden was high on the priority list.
When your home is up for sale a little bit of effort will go a long way to help get that best price.Even if your outdoor space is not big, the below list still applies. These are a few ideas to help make the best first impression:
• Think curb appeal – as we all know you only get one chance to make a first impression, which is why it is always important to remember curb appeal. This means making sure the property looks its best from the outside so when any potential viewers take a drive past or are walking up the driveway their first impression has to be a good one.
• They want to imagine themselves there. This one can feel a bit cheesy but works
wonders… If the weather is nice, get a bottle of wine and some wine glasses, or a jug of ice water and some glasses and put them out on the garden table. This will help the buyers place themselves in the space and imagine themselves entertaining and enjoying the garden.
• Clean all windows and glass doors. Open windows to the garden if it is a sunny day, it looks attractive and advertises you have a nice garden to look at.
